#HeanorGate | PCSO Colledge and PCSO Brown have been into Heanor Gate Spencer Academy today to educate young people around Domestic Abuse as part of their immersion day of 2026.
This input educated Year 12 students on the awareness of the following issues:
- Control and coercive behaviour
- Physical and sexual abuse
- Emotional abuse
It went into plenty of detail around the signs to look out for, and most importantly, how to help anyone they know, if they observe the signs of someone they know becoming a victim of domestic abuse.
Thank you to Heanor Gate Spencer Academy for inviting us today, for your immersion day, to talk about these issues, it was great to be back, for the second year running!
